June's Message
by Pastor Dave Speicher

Wednesday evening, May 24, was an awesome night of great food, fellowship, and fun with the BBQ and the Caravan Pinewood Derby Car Races.

Thanks to EVERYONE who helped with the race and the preparation and serving of food. Then, the Caravan Award Ceremony was a great time of celebration of all the things each child had done to achieve various awards throughout the year which all represented things they have learned about God and how He is such an important part of the Mental, Physical, Spiritual, and Social development of our lives.

Thank you Wilma, and all of the Caravan guides and helpers, who made it possible for the children to experience such a successful year.

This event somewhat marked an end to our Winter and Spring ministries, but by no means marked an end to ministry and all the opportunities that are ahead for fellowship and spiritual growth this summer. There are MANY GREAT opportunities listed inside this newsletter for children, youth, and adults to participate in and be able to share life with one another.

Even though schedules and responsibilities change a little for the summer, what God has called us to do with our life has not changed. He continues to call each of us to be involved in an ongoing ministry of representing Jesus Christ to people around us as His Ambassadors. The Apostle Paul writes in II Corinthians 5:14-15, “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

He goes on to say in verses 19 and 20, “And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf; be reconciled to God.

We have been given the incredible privilege of representing our Lord Jesus Christ to people within our God given area of influence.

With that goes the responsibility of representing Him well, faithfully, and accurately. I hope AND PRAY that you will ask God to give you daily strength and power be His Ambassador wherever you are in these summer months and that you will make it a priority to be involved in every ministry and fellowship opportunity possible and that you will be filled with great joy as you see God using you to be an ambassador to help someone be reconciled to God so they can experience the peace and joy of being “a new creation in Christ” as Paul wrote about in II Corinthians 5:17.

I look forward to seeing you at our times of worship and fellowship in the month of June and throughout the summer.
